Golden Carabiner with Black Diamond
A world of pure imagination awaits with the New River Gorge Golden Carabiner Hunt! Presented by Water Stone Outdoors and Black Diamond, this climbing scavenger hunt will raise funds for the New River Alliance of Climbers. 30 Golden Carabiners will be hidden in the Gorge for you and your partner to find and redeem for Black Diamond prizes! We will finish the evening with an afterparty!

Trail Cleanup with Black Diamond & AccessFund
Come give back to the New River Gorge by spending a few hours helping maintain and clean the trails around Sandstonia and Bubba City with AccessFund, NRAC, and the Black Diamond crews!
We will be meeting at the Sandstonia Parking Lot at 9am. There will be bagels and coffee! Please bring water and (if possible) gloves.
This event is open to all, and is part of the Golden Carabiner event

Top Out Taproom: Gripped Climbing Gym Town Hall
The new climbing and pickleball gym in town, Gripped Fitness, is excited to introduce themselves to the community! They’ll be hosting a short presentation to share more about the wide range of services and amenities their gym will offer, followed by a Q&A session to answer some of the most common questions.
Gripped Fitness wants to hear directly from YOU, the local climber or pickleball enthusiast, about what matters most. Whether it’s facility features, training programs, leagues, or events, your input will help shape how the gym best serves the community.

Queerclimbtastic hosts the world’s largest queer-friendly climbing convention annually in Fayetteville, West Virginia. Members run the gamut in terms of gender, age, race identification, interests–what they have in common is that they are experienced outdoor climbers with an adventurous, smart, friendly, laid back vibe. Friends of New River Gorge is a nonprofit that partners with the NPS to care for the parklands of the New River Gorge area (the New, Gauley, and Bluestone). This place is like no other. We believe that together we can gather, promote and develop a community of competent land stewards. Bats of the New River Gorge
Do you love bats or want to learn more?
NPS Wildlife Biologist, Lindsay H, will be discussing the local bats that reside in the area, their impact, and how we can help them out with conservation efforts and reporting bat sightings. This is a great opportunity to learn about these often-misunderstood creatures and the important role they play in our ecosystem. Attendees will also receive tips on how to safely observe and document bats in their natural habitat.

Highball to Thurmond: 50 Mile, 55K, and 50 Mile Relay
The highball was used in early railroads to signal the track was clear. When the ball was hoisted, trains were cleared to proceed at full speed! We’re raising the ball on this unique 50 Mile, 50K, and 50 Mile Relay event, encouraging athletes to proceed on this epic destination, trail race, ultra marathon adventure. Participants run through New River Gorge National Park and finish in Thurmond, West Virginia.

New River Birding & Nature Festival
Since 2002, the annual New River Birding & Nature Festival takes place in and around the New River Gorge National Park & River in the heart of the upland, hardwood forests that Cornell Lab of Ornithology identified as a crucial stopover habitat for the continued survival of species such as Golden-winged, Blue-winged, and Swainson's Warbler, as well as the Scarlet Tanager

Falling Water 100k
This course consists of 4 x 25K (15.5 mile) loops on the amazing trails at ACE Adventure Resort & dropping into New River Gorge National Park. The route incorporates the two main creeks in the area, Rush Run & Arbuckle. Run next to a multitude of waterfalls, along the banks of the New River, and test your rock-hopping skills at the picturesque Arbuckle Creek crossing.
