Fall Weather Adventures: Are You Properly Dressed?
As the trees turn brilliant shades of red and gold and the air fills with the scent of crisp leaves, cozy fires, and apple cider, it’s time to make sure your wardrobe is ready for fall weather and leaf-peeping season in the New River Gorge.
Temperatures can swing from sunny 83°F afternoons down to brisk 46°F mornings, with scattered showers in between. Weather here can be unpredictable — and often looks very different from one side of the Gorge to the other. Whether you’re climbing, hiking, or simply taking in the views, being prepared makes all the difference.
How do you stay comfortable through cool mornings, humid afternoons, and rainy evenings?
